Last week, I reported that Google said those that are worried about negative SEO should use their disavow file to combat it and make themselves feel secure.
Gary Illyes from Google added one more tidbit on that on Twitter. He basically implied that the disavow file is mostly unnecessary and that it can be used for those who are paranoid about negative SEO. He said, most SEOs would be much better off focusing not on the disavow file and/or negative SEO but rather doing other things with their time.
Here is the tweet:
@josh__patterson No, we recommend it in case you're worrying about nSEO. If you have better things to do, as you should, then don't use it

In short, he said focus on other things than disavow file and/or negative SEO with your time, you'll get a lot more bang for your buck that way.
Do you disagree?
